I have been watching Th Ultimate Fighter this year with Bisping and Miller is turning out to be
a good show. Bisping we know is a character, Miller world renowned character.
Heated schoolyard, I'll punch you in the face, No I'll punch You in the face.
Oh really? I'll knock you out. You can just try then. I'll knock you out,
I'll knock you out. Oh the humanity, grow up tough guys and come up
with something intellegent.
The contestants are all very tough, a couple ok but not to great will be
proven and knocked out quick. while the skilled will move on. Miller seems
to be a good coach, picked his team with ground game in mind while Bisping
liked to pick the stand up crew. Sure many have both skills but we see a definit
difference between punchers and all round MMA'rs. Even the grapplers know
you have to hit or submit while punchers just want to punch you.
Akira vs. Neace is a classic example, Akira is punchy punchy and Neace is
more rounded but his ground game is better.
In the First round Akira came out swinging but got surprised by Neace's ability
to fight back in give as well as get. On the ground it was Neace who attacked more
but being on the bottom got caught with a couple elbows, nothing to hard but Akira
on top and landing a few blows probably got the judges attention.
Neace did latch on to a leg and I saw Akira do a light tap but the ref missed it and
the hold was broken and back up the got. The round ended with little fanfare as Akira
punched Neace in the face.
Round 2 was a fireball of a round. A big left put Neace on his but and was on the bottom
for the rest of the round and for that he lost the fight. I just goes to show.
Don't leave it in the hands of the judges. Finish the fight and be done with it. I thought
Neace put on the better fight, and I saw the light tap. It was small but it was there. Maybe
a reflex action or not but there you go. The fight went on.
Big things still to come and the next fights still look great.
